Shell-and-Tube Cooler (also called tubular or “cannon-type” cooler)

· Robust construction: shell + tube bundle + tube sheet
· Sturdy, heavy-duty design with low failure rate and long service life
· Resists high temperatures and harsh conditions – a classic choice for complex industrial environments
· Drawback: Large and bulky – not suitable for compact gearbox designs


Plate Cooler

· High water quality requirements – needs clean, treated water
· Excellent cooling efficiency
· Extremely compact – for the same heat exchange capacity, volume and footprint are only 1/3 to 1/5 that of a shell-and-tube cooler
· Lightweight and flexible installation – ideal for tight equipment rooms or space-constrained layouts
· Drawback: Sensitive to water quality; requires filtration or treatment
